Mary-Claire grew up in Granville and was a graduate of Granville
Schools. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at
Villanova University. Subsequently, she worked as a bedside nurse on a
medical/surgical unit at Georgetown University Hospital. It was there
that Mary-Claire became inspired to pursue her Nurse Practitioner
degree, with the intent to provide early intervention for patients with
chronic diseases. Mary-Claire earned her Master of Science in Nursing
degree from Case Western Reserve University, and her credentialing from
the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. After obtaining her
Nurse Practitioner certifications, she stayed in Northeast Ohio for
several years working in primary care and serving as a Lead Advance
Practice Provider for her territory. She is excited to be returning
home to the Newark-Granville area with her husband and two daughters.
In addition to offering routine primary care services, Mary-Claire is now a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist; she has received specialized training to coach individuals through their diabetic journeys. This includes prediabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, Type 1 Diabetes and Gestational Diabetes.
